GThing 1.7.2 has been released.
The major focus of this release is to support more phones and remove some small bugs.
Initial support for the
LG U400 and
LG U8210 has been completed. There may be a few bugs and stability issues with using one of these phones but generally, things work. Sysfile will not work on the U8210 at the moment and should be avoided.
Automod was promised for this release but it looks like the technology to enable automod just are not mature enough yet. We have automod working under lab conditions and are just waiting for a few dependent software projects to improve.
The next release of GThing will look into stabilizing support for the new phones as well as adding support for the
LG CU500,
LG U8500, LG U8290, and LG U900.
We are also in the process of upgrading our Nokia emulator to a much better design with higher graphical accuracy.
