The GMail team has released a J2ME application to access your GMail account. This application fills the hole left by phones with poor email clients.

In the past you would either access GMail using your phones internal email client, which may not work well or at all. Alternatively you could access the mobile version of the gmail website using your mobiles web browser. Using your mobiles web browser will use more data than it should as well as take a lot longer to access your email then it should.

The GMail mobile application takes care of all these problems by accessing your mail directly with a fully functional email viewer and composer, just what the doctor ordered.

You can install GMail Mini on to your phone by going to gmail.com/app in your phones browser.

This app is so great! Thanks a lot, ryan. Very easy to use. Just what I wanted...

One question though, when u sign in it asks u for permission and tells u that it might cost u. I have a monthly limit of 30MB bandwidth on my phone. So it will be free for me or I still have to pay something?
