Instant messenger on W910i

I called my GMS provider "Orange" (France) to ask them if my sony ericsson W910i would be compatible with Live Messenger. They said me "no!".
On gthing.com I can see that there are several instant messenger programmz that may be working on my W910i.
First question : What is the best of them and does he really work on my phone?
Second question : if I install such a programm on my phone, what sort of offer may I choose at my provider, to have unlimited access to my messenger without paying for the time spent on it :
- an unlimited data transfert offer?
- other?

If there are french people who know Orange's offers in this way, could you please help me? I heard about those one :
- Orange Messenger by Windows Live
- surf illimité (unlimited surf) ... but only on Orange World Portal :/
- Web illimité (unlimited Web) .... seems also limited on Orange World Portal, and some TV channels (french channels)

... which one may I choose?
