CU500 and CU500V

Is it possible to update the firmware to the phone? is the file on the phone and can you access it from bitpim? Would you happen to have the CU500v firmware and instructions on how to update it if possible?

Great thanks. I am sending it via PM.

ALSO -

I cannot get GCALSYNC to load on my CU500V with Gthing, from the WebInstaller, or from a downloading it from thier website. This app is would be perfect for the phone/gmail. Really, this is the main reason I purchsed GThing. Does anyone know how to get it on there? The phone gives me a "909 Authentication Error" on all install methods. Thanks!

Hi cellzzzz,

I have used GCALSYNC in the past and found it to be a fantastic program so I can understand your frustration. In the feedback I have been getting from CU500/CU500v owners, it seems that these mobiles are a little more picky about the applications that are installed onto them then previous 3G LG mobiles.

You may like to try the unsigned version if you haven't already and see if that is better.

You may also need to use the GThing tool to change your phone's java profile to allow access to the calendar from Java.

Let me know if this helps
